The Legendary Grady Gaines, leader of Little Richard‘s band in the 50’s, honors The Big Easy whenever he takes our stage. From his sessions for Don Robey and Peacock Records, to his work with Little Richard, Sam Cooke, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Joe Tex and many others, Grady helped to define the Heart & Soul of Rhythm & Blues.
The video clip is from the movie “Don’t Knock the Rock”, considered to be the only time Little Richard allowed himself to be upstaged. Grady appears Friday, Nov. 14th.
